It’s no good taking the time to find beautiful accommodation if you still have to sleep on a camp bed, which is why we think that it’s the accessories and added extras that really make or break the glamping experience. Guests don’t like to bring too much with them either, when looking for a luxury experience, so we’ve put together our ultimate glamping essentials to help turn your dome into home…
Nothing says typical camping like a fold-up (or worse, blow-up) bed on a cold floor, so a solid bed frame complete with a comfy mattress is the ultimate ‘glam camping’ treat in our book – the perfect way to relax after a long day of adventure-seeking.
Complete the look with bedside tables and a small set of drawers, and your guests are sure to be impressed!
A comfy bed wouldn’t be complete without some sumptuous bedding to go keep them warm – high quality sheets and blankets are a great investment that will impress guests, and last through plenty of winter nights.
Think string lights with a cosy candlelight glow to set the mood, or even oversized Edison bulbs for a fantastic vintage feel – there are more solar-powered options than ever to make finding the perfect match for your dome nice and easy.
Depending on your site, a bathroom close to your dome may not be possible but try to make sure there’s one as close by as you can – glampers will thank you if they don’t have to walk miles in a chilly, damp night to go to the toilet! It’s also important to make them as high-quality as you can (opt for plumbing if at all possible), remember that the luxury part of glamping should be present in all aspects of the experience to truly impress your guests!
A hot tub
Again, this may not be possible for everyone! But a hot tub is a fantastic touch to add if you’re able, and truly creates a luxurious atmosphere.
Luxury food and drink
While most glampsites are self-catering, why not consider adding a small package of luxurious food and drink items to help welcome guests to their dome? It’s the little things, after all…
Will you be adding any of these extras to your dome? We’d love to know what you think of our luxury ‘essentials’, and if you’ve got any to add to the list – join the conversation by finding us on Facebook, Twitter or Instagram.
